What a great summer it has been on Galveston Bay. The speckled trout fishing has been fantastic this year. We have been using mostly artificials. Chartreuse or glo/chart on 1/4 oz and 3/8 oz jigs bounced around on deep reefs along the ship channel and various well pads. The trout are there and they are hungry. The reds continue to be tough to find in open waters. There are a few around but they haven't shown up thick yet. But they will and soon. Typically August is one of my favorite months for chasing redfish.

See you on the water!
