This ranch is just South of Georgewest Texas. I've hunted on this ranch in years past, great animals and the owner couldn't be a better guy! This ranch also has some great exotics as well! Give them a call, I know they can make you dreams come true.

A friend set me up on the forum. Just to tell something about my operation JDRanch, we are a 1200 acre high-fenced MLD 3 ranch in Live Oak County, about 14 miles south of George West, Texas. We have white tail of all sizes plus axis, sika, blackbuck, fallow, scimitar horned oryx, and catalina goats. Prices are listed on my web site: www.huntjdranch.com and my phone is 361-688-9309. Coincidentally, I was in the market for a doe hunt just hours after Jeff joined the forum and found his post and went down there. I've never hunted in that part of the state before and it's interesting. It is mostly thick brush like South Texas, but lower, about 4 feet high. Lots less mesquite, too, and more oaks. Because it is so thick they have to cut shooting lanes and senderos just like in South Texas.

I was in the market for a couple of doe but talked myself into taking 1 doe, 1 cull buck, and 1 management buck. You will see ear tagged deer at this place -- lots of them -- but there are also deer that have grown up there. None of the 3 deer I took were ear tagged. You will see a large number of large antlered deer there, typically 140 - 170. I got to see bucks chasing around a hot doe which was neat.

Jeff is in his 60s, like me, so we hit it off right away. You stay in a guest bedroom in his house which is set up more like a hunting lodge with lots of heads on the walls.

As I said above, these bucks in the photos were a couple of little ones he didn't need breeding. He has plenty of large ones, both imported and born on the property.

What is the cost on a cull or management, I didnet see prices on his web site
