Hi guys, I'm going to make a DIY deer feeder and just wondering what people use as feed?
I'm thinking of making a mix of beans, cornmeal and maybe lupins or oats.
Bear in mind pre packaged mixes aren't available in Australia so I'll have to make it myself.
Thinking of just doing a PVC feeder with a y-join
Cheers

I prefer meat in it's original packaging.

"Now this is a Knife"! Sorry, couldn't help myself a movie junkie from the 80s-90s and Paul Hogan was one of my favorites. Not sure about the mix, sounds like you're on to something though. What are you intending to harvest?

haha I get that more often than you think from Americans.
We can't bait deer here in my state, it'll be just used to catch them on a trail cam. I'm planning on using it for red deer though. There is a spot where a few stags camp in the winter and I'm keen to see what's there.

You would be surprised what a 2 liter bottle can do also. Fill it with your mix and watch the push it around to get the mix out

That's an interesting one, haven't heard of that but I can imagine it making some good footage!
