Have used these solar lifetime motors for several years , but lately they are not working right . I may send them back for repairs . have done this before .
Is there another motor I can adapt to the hopper ?

I've not had as good luck with the Lifetime Solar Elite models as I have with just the Lifetime Elite (non-solar) AA battery powered version. I currently have 1 Solar Elite and 3 standard Elites. The solar panel just isn't large enough and gets coated with corn dust so it doesn't quite keep the (tiny) gel cell battery charged very well. Then, if you need to replace the battery, it is a tiny size gel cell that's hard to find unless you go to a Batteries Plus store. If you use lithium batteries, I've found the standard Lifetime Elite will run for over a year before needing battery replacement. Since they both use the same funnel, all you have to do to replace yours is loosen the set screws holding the unit to the funnel post, slide it off and slide the new unit in its place.

I like the On Time Elite very well!

For years I've sent dead On-Time parts back to them, and they send the new parts to me, for free. I have the old lifetime analog units. If you are in a big hurry, just order a new motor. It's not expensive.

These units will last forever, but will need new parts from time to time. I get most of a year from standard batteries. I think at least one of my On-Time units is about 12 or 13 years old.

Been using a solar elite for over a year with no problems and no battery change or charge. When I placed the feeder I made sure morning and afternoon sun would reach it. Still running strong. I wipe the corn dust off any time I add feed. It replaced an old tin can looking on time motor I previously had on the same double barrel for maybe 15 to 20 years.

Wow, I hope to get 10-15 years out of mine! That's great!
