Anyone ever try a motor out of a kids electric car. Saw one sitting by the dumpster the other day. Think they have two 12vdc motors.

Just make sure you have big enough battery to support it;
and you'll likely want to utlize a HD relay for the contacts (can burn-out a regular timer contacts real quick).

They will work, but with today's prices of feeder timers the time, trouble and effort isn't worth the savings.
