Ask around at construction sites. I had a crew give me a couple that were used for concrete sealer. You'll have to cut the lids off and replace, but that's cheap enough.

Happened to see some barrels out in Tyler TX and picked me up one with lid and locking ring for $15, what a deal! Thanks guys.
