So I was going to put this in the hunting gear section but that gets very little traffic so ill put it here.

My question is how do you store all your gear? Do you have shelves, boxes, hangers, plastic containers with lids? Im asking bc I'm tired of my stuff being spread out or just tucked into a corner I want a dedicated hunting gear storage in my office. I want something that looks good but is functional. Lets see your storage so I can get some ideas.

Closet in my reloading room houses everything I own.

I use totes that I've labeled. I keep my elk hunting gear together, since it's the most stuff I ever have to pack. Then I will pull stuff from there and replace it as needed for other hunts. If I only hunted in Texas, I'd probably sort it by gear, instead of by hunt.

I do the same, my western hunting gear has their totes, my whitetail hunting gear has its own tote.
Store it in the garage on hanging racks.

My garage came fully finished with a ton of cabinets down one side, so I use those for most of my gear now. Prior to that, I used a few large totes in a closet.

One closet for the stuff I carry back and forth. The rest stays at the cabin in a closet there. If it was dirty at the end of the season, it came home to be washed and went back the first time we headed there.

I use shelves that are dedicated for this purpose. Also use totes and duffles on the shelves.

3 of those Plano footlockers, an old dresser, a closet for ammo, coats and overflow clothes in another closet. Can't find a dam thing and the Mrs. comments on the situation regularly.

As an avid outdoor enthusiast the solution was quite simple. I have a dedicated ROOM for hunting and a dedicated ROOM for fishing. Both with work benches and closets. Just for clarification purposes DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS SET UP IF YOU ARE MARRIED. For us bachelors it doesn't get any better.

I have a hunting closet too with lots of shelving. I also use those plastic storage drawer things and love them. Small ones on the shelves for small stuff, larger ones on the floor for hats, socks, underwear, etc. Like everyone else I use storage bins/action packers too.

Hooks are amazingly handy. Those little $2 wire deals that go in kids' lockers for more shelf space are great. Those hanger extender/multiple hanger things are great too. If you don't have enough closet space those cheapo portable cloth closets work fine too.

Labeling everything well is a must for me.

I use 5 gal. buckets for each type of hunting or fishing. Each bucket is labeled for the stuff it holds i.e.. a bucket for Turkey, a bucket for Deer, Dove, etc. The buckets are hung from the rafters in my garage. When it is time to go hunting I simply take that bucket with me as everything is already packed. Years ago, I doubled the size of my garage to hold my boat and four wheeler. The buckets are hung from rafters in the garage extension; we park our car and truck in the front half of the garage. Also, I built a closet and shelves for hunting clothing, waders, ammo, etc. Four neighbors have since enlarged their garages to do the same thing. Momma gets a full garage for her car and my truck so we are both happy and we just celebrated our 50th anniversary so it works. When Momma is happy hobbies are not a problem.

I keep mine in a large duffle bag inside of a large tote. I usually keep them in the garage and then in the camper during hunting season.

Those big overhead storage shelves that drop down from the garage ceiling look pretty dang handy.

I store mine in plastic totes inside a 16 foot cargo trailer. The trailer is our dedicated hunting trailer/sleeping quarters.

I like to use those bags that you hook up to a vacuum and compres and store in totes, also use double trash bags with scent wafers for the clothes that I need most of the time.

I hear ya'll on the storage thing. My deal is where to put all the processing equipment! Mama's kitchen has been taken over by that stuff.
