Anyone wear hiking pants for hunting?

I've tried so many different kind of hunting pants and I don't like any of them. I'm just looking for water and wind resistant pants.

I am interested to hear too, my camo jeans just aren't cutting it for me in these long walks to my new spot. I don't own a atv at the moment and my new spot is off the beaten trail quite a bit if I must say. frown

Are you wanting them for stand hunting or active hunting? My hunts are typically western style so I'm quite active and I always bring along two pairs - First Lite Kanab 2.0 and Eddie Bauer Guide Pro. Neither are wind or water resistant and nor would I want them to be but they are plenty warm and dry quickly. I sat and glassed for several hours in temps in the 30s and haven't found myself uncomfortable.

Prana Zion stretch pants. They changed the sizing in them from M.L,XL. To waist specific. I actually prefer old style. Any way old style is on close out from 39.48-55.20 campsavers.com backcountry.com

Try Wrangler 13mwz they've worked great for me the last 40 years.

Those old standby 13 MWZ Wranglers are getting harder to find. Walmart and Academy have very few in stock. But they are good jeans.

I had the same problem and took some cheap jeans from Walmart and Magellan pants from Academy and turned them into Tin Cloth. Just got back from wearing them for a week in Colorado elk hunting. Held up real well, and the best part is you don't have to put them in the washer. Just hose them off and lay them out to dry in the sun.

after you coat them with the mixture, you let them hang dry for two weeks. They are a little stiff once you put them on, but they break in real nice.

Both, I active and stand hunt depending which property.

Quick dry could work. I just can't stand sitting down and getting up with a wet but or taking a knee and getting soggy pants.

Those Prana Zion pants look nice!

They come with a DWR coating but I redo mine every 2-3 months with nikiway direct.

I think I have 4 pairs. Pretty much all I wear

I where Khul, North Face and Royal Robbins 90% of the time while in the woods. They are not supper thick but comfortable, dry quickly and can take a beating. I've also used the wrangler fleece lined pants from Walmart when it's ball shrinking cold and they are holding up well but not friendly when they get wet.

I order from 511 Tactical for hunting pants.

They have camo pants and they are waterproof, superdurable and a thousand pockets.

I hike all over shnf in them and they perform well and are supertough

My brother uses Sitka pants because they have a waterproof seat and knees. He tried several different brands but ended up trying Sitka. Not sure which pants but he has been really happy with them.
