These looked pretty good just seeing if anybody had tried one.

Looks like the one my neighbor bought on Ebay. But it was $20 cheaper. His is super bright.

the $12.00 and something one from
walmart that replaced my $30.00 and
something one that gave up works just
fine for hunting. high/low white light
and a red light. bought it last year
and it's still on the first batteries.
been in 4 rain hunts, so it's fairly
watertight.

I actually have one like the ozark trail and agree they are great little lights for the money but I was looking for something with more range. I caved and ordered one from Pioneer so I'll give a report when it arrives

Doesn't list a lumen rating?

I bought one of these for myself, for the truck, and 4 for the grown boys in my family for this Christmas (twenty bucks ea. - 300 lumens):

Isn't this the lumen rating?

Brightness: 4000lm Constant / 5000lm Max (RJ-3000)

Gotta be a different way of rating, or else you can mount it on a train. grin

Do you really want to wear something that heavy on your head? It's not likely to be heavy enough to bother your neck, but it will be noticeable.

I bought the Streamlight Trident last week and gave it go at the lease this weekend. It's only 80 lumens, so it won't impress many, but it throws a very tight beam and I could see the feeder well enough in the rain to tell that nothing was standing under it. For $30 it's a no brained and it uses cheap and available AAA battery's.

I've only ever used Petzl headlamps but have always liked them a lot.
