I got a text from a friend saying something about a 1000 lumen light for sale. Looked cool and it was 45% off so I bought it. I think it was $60.

http://www.lumitak.com/ is website.

They advertise:
-The DeltaStream is the Brightest
-Our all new Premium Light is something you truly need to see to believe
-1000 lumens

2 weeks later, a Ultrafire Cree XML-T6 shows up. Not a DeltaStream. The look identical. Same light. Different names.

An Ultrafire Cree XML-T6 can be found on Amazon for $15.

The Ultrafire Cree XML-T6 is not 1000 lumens either. I plan on returning it. If I cant, check the trading section for an awesome 1600 lumen Untrafire. grin

I've learned two things:
-Don't trust your friends
-Only buy name brand flashlights

Here is a battery burning Surefire under an 870 @ 600 lumens. Big difference. Bummer.

Damn that sucks. I'm with you on the name brand flashlights.

I believe lots of "name brand" flashlights are all made in the same factories in China. I have several cheap flashlights from China, some good, some bad. The lumens advertised seldom means anything in terms of brightness. It seems the reflector size, shape and finish is more important.

Looks like it's stuck in power saving mode. Have you clicked through all 5 modes?

Thanks for the heads up, Chickenman.

I like Streamlight, a lot. Prices are reasonable, and so far, performance has been great. I've got a pen light I've had for a few months now and use for everything. Literally, every day. It's very bright for using two AAA batteries, and somehow, I have yet to need to change the batteries. I also have a couple larger Streamlights and love them, too.

If anyone tells you that a single led module is higher then 1200 lumens its a scam!! 1200 is the highest for common lights, their is a higher lumens but not on a single module that will fit your average daily flashlight, and I think your light is in a low settling. It also count on how deep the reflector is the deeper the longer range you get

Yeah- you got 'took'; I'd file for mail-fraud if they won't refund.

Main thing is don't buy anything from a (fly-by-nite one-product) vendor that is not well-established and has clear return policy.
