I just use my trusty old coleman. I have been looking at a few of the cooktops with ovens in them though.

I have a little single burner butane (yes butane) stove in my RV that I used last year. It works great and has no problem heating a cast iron skillet. It came from my brewery stuff. This year my RV stove is working so I don't need it except as a spare. It runs on the one pound can of butane.
Cast I have a short attention spa

The Weber Q200 series will run off the 1 pounders. I have one, and in fact, I had to buy the 20lb tank adapter/hose for it. It's a fabulous grill, but I don't know if it's compact enough for you.

FireDisc Grills. They run 2 hours on 16oz tank and are ultra portable. Work like a big cast iron skillet. Heavy duty and you can hang them in your garage. Hose out to clean and they "Season" incredibly well.

get old old beater coleman white gas stove at a garage sale or thrift store for $5.00 then slide by academy and pick up one of those propane adapters for $10.00 or however much they are now and you're ready to go.
pick up one of the folding coleman camp ovens while you're there if you want biscuits without a fire and iron dutch oven.
