Hey guys, I came across a great product at this last DSC convention and thought some of you might be interested. Air Armor Tech recently started building inflatable protective devices for scopes. I've had the pleasure of using this product and found it virtually eliminates the need for gun cases on the trip to the range or the field. As a Marine Scout/Sniper, I've used several protective covers for my scope while in the field but this outshines them all. This protective cover is lightweight and extremely rugged. The guys that designed and founded this company are all former/active duty military/law enforcement. I've attached some pics so you can get a better idea of what their product looks like and how it operates. The cost varies depending on the options and models but are generally in upper $200 range. www.airarmortech.com is their website if you want to see more of their quality made in the USA products.

I looked at those at DSC as well. It appears to be a quality made product. However, the price ($300)appeared to be excessive and when used properly, the product added a lot of undue bulk to the rifle. That and it seems to be unnecessarily complicated and requires its own set of tools for use.

All in all, it is really nifty, but price, bulk, complicated technology for what it does, specialized tools for use all make this product a bit over-the-top for the vast majority of hunters or people who would need scope covers.

True...... A little bulky for using in the field but saves a bunch of space compared to toating a soft or hard case on way to field or range. Most everyone can probably think of someone who knocked their scope off zero while heading out for some shooting because they didn't want to carry their rifle in a case. Goes on and off with quick release buckles. Inflation of the air bladder requires bout two deep breaths and whole on/off process only takes bout twenty seconds. The price comes with the quality.
