I just had my father's 22LR repaired. I'm 66 and he had that gun since his early teens. Does it matter what brand of ammo I shoot in it?

Montgomery Wards "Western Field" brand. It says 22LR only. Oiless and smokeless I'm guessing made around 1935 ish

I’d check with the gunsmith who repaired it.
