Guys,
I want to run Hornady 168 ELD-X in my 7 mag. What powder are you guys running in yours? Also are you using standard or mag primers...what are the benefits of going one way or the other?

Is this a new bullet weight? I am only familiar with 162 & 175 in the 7MM ELD-x

Probably not...lol. It's probably the 162 and I just got it wrong.

I went and purchased the tenth edition Hornady Handbook for this very question. I loaded RL 25 ladder test with the top being 69.3 gr. (book value 3000 fps) because I had RL-25 on hand. Have not shoot it yet. Other powders listed for 3000 fps: IMR 4831 RL-22 H1000 MAGPRO

CCI 250 or Fed 215M (if you can find them)
H-Retumbo
I loaded a friend's with 168 Bergers and it shoots like a house on Fire. Same powder, same primer but I load a 180 Berger in mine, same results. Stupid accurate and makes plenty of velocity. Both are compressed charges.
Of course, Rerumbo is a temperature stable powder, which is all I ever use.

Retumbo H-1000 H4831 In no particular order. I've gotten really good results with all of those 3. Just depends on which your rifle likes best
