I put together a 28 nosler. I'm shooting a 26 in barrel with a 8 twist. I loaded up some 180 eld-m with a 3.475 oal.
Hit pressure with h1000 at 79.5 and retumbo at 80.3
Anybody shooting the 28 nosler with these powder.?

I tried H-1000 in the first 28 Nosler I loaded for but only a few rounds and switched to R33 and have not looked back.

Have you seen in speed swings with Temp w r33. I have been eyeing the r33 too? Are you shooting the 195?

I tried and was happy with H1000 and Retumbo in my 7 Ultra, but switched to RL33 due to availability. It's good stuff.

Yes I am using the 195's Have really only shot mine in moderate temps so no real data on temperature velocity variations. By moderate I mean 85F to 98F Dope has always been spot on so have not worried about it. My barrel is 28 inch and have 3200 plugged in the ballistic app

A couple of guys I know are shooting Best of tje West .28 Noslers and were supplied reloading data for their rifles. BotW uses H1000.
Edit: nope, it IS Retumbo.
I don't think my memory is with me anymore.

R33 is a double based powder, and will have more energy that a single base powder like Retumbo or H1000. R33 will get higher speeds, but at the cost of being temp sensitive. R33 is not a powder for me.

Shot the 180-m again today. This was after I got some reamer/tooling marks left in the chamber removed . Shot at with a Coal of 3.564 this time. Saw slight heavy bolt lift at 80.9 of Retumbo. Speed was around 3100. I plugged in 3060and with the 3 extra rounds and got hits at 500, 700 and 800 with those 3.
Hope to fine tune load and shoot on Sunday.
Thanks to Kevin in helping me identify cause of the problem marks on brass.
