My cousin has a Ruger American in 300BO that he's trying to get to group. He's about got it where he wants it, but I thought I'd throw it out here and see what y'all think. The rifle is suppressed shooting a Speer Hot-Core 200gr Spitzer SP, with 8.0gr of Lil Gun with an OAL of 2.18. Any help is appreciated.

Since it is a bolt gun, you can open up the OAL length a bit to see if it changes his groups. Just be careful that you don't end up jamming the bullet into the lands. With the fast powders used in the BO, you can create overpressure situations pretty quickly.

Start around .010 off the lands and see where that takes you. Slice the case neck on 2 sides so the bullet will slide in easily and measure your "jam" length and go from there.
