Guys,

I need a new tumbler and would like to know what you guys use. Also I'm curious about a tumbler I saw online and if any of you guys have used it etc. its a thumler tumbler. Are they worth the $$$? Here is a link to it.

The old rotary tumblers work fine. I prefer the big Dillon CV-750 vibratory case cleaner. It works pretty fast and I like these better. The rotary models sometimes slip and have to be adjusted to grip to spin. My old rotary tumbler did this.

Get a Thumbler's Tumbler. I have the red one. SS media. I have a vibrator too, but don't need it after switching to SS media.

Thumblers is great. The Dillon 750 is also great, which is what I currently use. Buy with confidence.

Mine is the Extreme Rebel 17 tumbler. It's a little labor intensive, but the results are worth it.

So guys, I've bee using a Cabelas tumbler for a few years and finally wore it out. So my question is: Do the Dillon 750 and Thumblers clean the brass better and quicker? The reason I'm asking is simply cost...Cabelas $59, Thumblers $179 and Dillon $149.

Thanks,

I bought a Thumblers vibratory tumbler (on sale) because I liked their wet tumbler so much. I use the vibratory to clean dirty range brass and, to remove sizing lube. I don't know if it's quicker, but it's certainly quieter, and sturdier. Online research tells me they last for many years, and the motor is replaceable. I bought it after my second Cabelas failed. My wife loves it because she can't hear it running in the house, unlike the Cabelas.

Yes the Thumblers Tumblers are worth it. Both of mine are Thumblers. Old ones.

I have two Frankford Arsenal vibratory tumblers. They both have been good. My old Lyman made a lot more noise but really cleaned no better than these cheap FA tumblers. I use walnut shell lizard bedding from the pet store.

I inherited a Covington rock rotary tumbler that I use for wet tumbling. Wet tumbling is a pain but I use it for cleaning dirty range brass. Overall I still prefer dry tumbling for most everything.

Thanks guys! I bought a harbor freight tumbler. For the size, 18lbs, and power I decided to give it a try. So far so good.
