How far do you back off a load when changing lot numbers of the same powder?

None but I will load and shoot 10-20 with the new lot over a chronograph.

Depends on the powder. Some powders can have a larger swing from lot to lot. H4350 and Varget are 2 that have huge swings from lot to lot.
I'll try the new lot first to see how fast it shoots with my normal load. Depending on what I get, I will then make an adjustment and possibly re do my load work up from there. I have gained 120 fps with H4350 switching lots when I shot my 260 Rem with 140 VLD's. Since then, I will re verify my load with a new lot. But now, I just buy 2- 8# kegs of same lot so it will last me about a barrel, or about 2600 rounds worth on 16 lbs of powder.

H4350 is the powder I'm using. I only have enough for about 50 rds left and have been looking for some more.

It seems to be nonexistent these days. If you try IMR4451, you might find that it's a good alternative to H4350.

I load lighter than my old load, even with it, and above it. Old lot of H-4350 pushed a 140 A-Max 2800 fps MV with 42.4 gr, out of the 6.5 Creedmoor. When I switched lots I loaded
42.0 42.2 42.4 42.6 42.8
42.8 shot the best and makes 2800 fps MV.
