Finally got my Giraud powered case trimmer today. It's been a long wait, but going to be well worth it!

Game changer.
Worst chore there is pertaining to reloading is trimming, deburring, and chamfering. That trimmer makes it twenty times faster.
I trimmed 500 pieces of .22-250 in 70 minutes last May.

I trimmed 500 pieces of .22-250 in 70 minutes last May. I agree! I was spending about 90% of my time doing case prep. It was expensive and a long wait, but will make life a lot easier.

I agree, hate brass prep. Does it do one caliber only?

You can buy the parts to do other calibers, but it comes set up for one.

I trimmed 500 pieces of .22-250 in 70 minutes last May. Yup. I admit that I don't trim unless it's out of spec for this reason. I want to have a life.

Time is money and brass prep was a LOT of time. I loaned mine out for 2 months, but the exchange works very well in my favor so didn't mind.
I use it for 223 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 300 Win Mag. The trimmer itself is expensive and about $90 to $100 for each additional caliber. If you have multiple cartridges for a particular caliber, you only need to buy additional case holders as the cutters are caliber specific. Yes you can buy a cutter / case holder combo, but don't see the point in doing that.

It is 100% my next reloading oriented purchase. I'm sitting on a ton of brass that needs to be trimmed and there's no way I am going to do it all on my rcbs

A power trimmer is indeed a game changer. Mine is a Gracey, which is similar to the Giraud. You will need a pilot for each cartridge you load for; I have a dozen pilots for mine, which covers most of the rounds I load for. I also made up a dummy case for each cartridge pilot, so that when I switch to a different caliber, the adjustment can quickly be made using the dummy case as a template. The addition of a Bob Jones cutter is a real good idea if you choose a Gracey.
I usually tune in the Rangers or Willie Nelson's Roadhouse on the radio, and before you know it, you've completely processed 500-1000 cases. Once you've pulled the trigger on a power trimmer like a Giraud or Gracey, you'll ask yourself out loud, "Why did I wait so long?"

Over the course of ten reloads of 6.5x47, I only had to trim twice. That held true over the course of several barrels. My giraud just doesn't get much use.

I'm with 6.5X47L. my brass doesn't stretch that much I guess, but I don't shoot near as often as JG and others.
I will keep my Giraud cause when I do use it....it's the nut!!
It does make the nicest case mouths, sharp as hell!!

biggest waste as it doesn't chamfer the case mouth, fortunately you can get a drill mounted Giraud for about 90 bucks which does all three jobs
