Has anybody on here ever run into this type of brass where the bottom of the cases seem to be concave ? I have never seen
this before. My son -n-law just bought a Savage model 25 light wt. bull barrel i believe. and 20 rds fired have the webb area concave. Can someone here shed any more light on this . whether safe to re-load or not
thank you.

I also have a Mod 25 and have shot the Hornady ammo with good results.I then took that brass and reloaded it and shot it also having pretty good results. One thing though about the Hornady brass is the flash hole is smaller than other brass. My decapping pin kept getting stuck in the flash hole and would actually pull out of the sizing rod. I had to take a small drill bit and drill out all of the Hornady flash holes. I also noticed the concave web area but didn't see any detrimental effects at all. The Hornet is a fun little cartridge to shoot and reload, good luck with it.

Thank you sir for the info, I went ahead and re-loaded those 20 rds and will go from there. I told my son-n-law not to buy that brand of factory ammo from Hornady anymore. They admitted to having smaller primer holes in their brass. Im gonna stick with Remy ,or WW brass. I also had de-capping pin problems. Thank you.
