Do you think it will work well in a 8" twist barrel at 223 Rem velocity?

The 1:8 will do it, if you are running an AR you have to single load them, cannot get them to magazine length.

These are going in a Trainer rifle. It will allow me to practice the weird positional stuff, it reportedly holds the same trajectory as a 6.5 Creedmoor out to 600 yards, and I'm not costing barrel life on the 6.5 Creedmoor. Also a secondary prairie dog rifle.

I have a Bartlein M24/M40 contour, stainless, 1:7.7 twist that is going to finish at 24", and be chambered in .223 Ackley Improved. According to dee, I might see 3000 fps MV. Bullets and Lapua brass arrived yesterday.

I have a box of those but never opened them. 77 MKs shot so well I just stopped developing and ordered 500 more. Now if they make an ELD-X I may start over.

Pretty sure a coyote will be hit with one of these. I'll let everyone know how that goes.

I can verify they are darn near identical both trajectory and for wind out to 600. Out of a 223 AI they should be something special.

I have a very similar rifle but went with a standard chamber instead of the AI route. Not sure why I did though.
Enjoy it! I love mine, especially with the 75 AMAX. I will have to try these as well.

Last year, while shooting three 7mm-08 A.I. rifles, they shot plenty tight while fire forming. And having talked to some other A.I. shooters, they've also reported tight shooting while fire forming. So I figure why not do it.

Good point, I wish I had done the AI route in that case.

Yes, but I am afraid because it shoots so well now. I do realize this fear may be illogical but it is fear nonetheless!

I get it. Takes some experience to re-chamber one. Mikael at S & S told me if it chatters, you have to power through it, or it'll keep chattering. And lots of smiths back-off if it chatters.
