Anyone have any good load data for this in 308? I don't have the new Sierra book yet and am having trouble finding load data Other than Varget. Looking to try some 2000MR. Only info I could find was on Alliant website
For a SMK not the TMK. Shows 47.7gr at 2730fps. Prob just reduce load and work up but thought I'd ask.
Also everything I've read shows these not to be very jump sensitive.

The reloading data will be the exact same for the same weight bullet with the SMK and TMK. You didn't list bullet weight, but knowing the 47.7 grain charge of 2000MR you are looking at the 175 grain bullets. The 2000MR will yield a higher velocity than Varget, and it's what I shoot in my personal 308 loads with a 175 Berger BT or a 185 grain Hybrid.

Sorry. 175gr is correct. I figured they would be about the same.
More speed is what I'm after. Berger's are my norm just bored and thought I'd diversify bullet selection.
Thanks Chad

If you have a 22"+ long barrel (longer the better), the 2000MR will help get higher speeds. Mine is a 28" barrel, and I'm screaming 175 Berger's at 2860 and 185 Hybrid's at 2742 fps with 2000MR, Fed 210 primer and Win (BHA) brass. Bullets seated out a little long.

You should be able to make it. What brand of brass are you running?

FYI - Black Hills has changed to using Ruag brass (very good made in Switzerland) in 308 Win and 300 Win Mag. Loads need to backed off 1.0 grain and then worked up again as the internal capacity is smaller.

That is a first hand communication from dealing with Black Hills earlier this year about a particular lot of ammo.
