I was tempted by the http://www.customreloadingtools.com/ funnel. The single funnel with interchangeable, caliber-specific ends is appealing but I could not justify the additional cost for my limited need.

I like that locking ring. The Redding and RCBS factory locking rings sucks.

Big Stan - what press do you use them with? I ask because I see conflicting information looking at forums across the Internet. Some like X and some hate Y - just as you do. I know part of it is personal preference but the way I see it, it's a flippin cheap ring - does it function the way it's intended and needed. Since I have a Co-ax and that's the same ring that came with the press I figured I couldn't go wrong and why waste more time analyzing.

I use a RCBS Rock Chucker and its about 20 years old. The locking rings that comes with the dies have a hex screw and once you tighten that, it flattens a little brass spacer against the threads of the die and when you want to adjust it again, the spacer is crushed against the threads of the die and you need to put an effort to loosen them again to readjust / tighten. The other locking ring has the screw into both halves of the locking ring and not against the thread of the die. It just squeezes the halves together and locks the die in place.

I like the Hornady, you can use a wrench instead of pliers, same style of locking as above

RCBS sent me a bag of locking rings with the set screws and brass insert. They locked down good. I use a wrench now to snug them down.

I have several Sarurn funnels and love them. They work great with my wood loading blocks. Fifty at a time.

Buzz...What did RCBS charge you for those rings and stuff?

Every last die set I own needs a new lock ring, and I've got several that the lil screw's head is stripped by my over use of Mo Powr to unscrew them.

Getting ready to finally address setting up the stand alone Toy Bldg aka reloading shed once the heat breaks a little. Found out the old window unit is fried, like lots of the 2nd'ry electrical stuff was in this old house we bought.

In any press which dies are screwed in there may be value in being able wrench the lock rings, however, that doesn't impact me/my press.
