Guys,

I think I'm going to pick one of these up today and want to know if any of you has one and if it shoots any particular brand of ammo better than others?

Thanks,

Mel

You should expect that with any 22lr. My Win52 is the only gun that can accurately shoot multiple types of ammo that I have seen.

I'm not disagreeing with Cast, but I really do mix up the 22LR Ammo in our 22's, and it all shoots fine. But "fine" is a subjective measurement in this case. For the absolute best in accuracy, I'd have to test ammo. I can head shoot a squirrel at 30 yards or so with any ammo I have, and that's good enough for me. Of course, I'm blaming the misses on me and not the ammo.

I'm talking one little hole in paper at fifty yards.

Went and shot it yesterday...first the white sights made it difficult for me to shoot accurately. Out of the four I took to shoot it was by far the worse one but again I attribute that to the sights. I'm going to get targets with black a background and shoot it again Friday to see what the difference is then. I fired five different types with five rounds per at twenty five yards. Two of the rifles had open sights and two had scopes. The two with scopes shot tighter groups but the one with a peep sight was almost as good as one of my scoped 22s.

I have a couple of Henry 22's. Wife and grandkids love them. Me not so much. The drop at heel is so much, I can't shoot it with my head on the stock. I have to raise my head completely off the stock to see the sights. No way to get steady.
