Yes. It has to be done in 2 sizing steps from 308 to 6.5. If the necks get too thick, then you will need to neck turn. I know some shooters doing this, but it is more work.

I'm not sure what the best parent case would be, the neck is not the biggest deal, the shoulder needs to be bumped back a bunch. Whatever you try, use

Just resize and fire form 22-250 brass into 6.5 Creedmoor. That's the easiest way to form it. It will be a little short, but after the second firing,it will be the correct length.

I've never tried to resize brass, is it a matter of running thru the fl die you want and trim then fire form?

The most you should size the neck down to in one sizing is about .020"-.025". To go from 308 to 6.5, you will need to size down to about 7mm, then 6.5. Plus, the shoulder bump. What's the best case to start with, 243 Win, 22-250, 308, I don't know. I just buy 6.5 CM from Hornady. Suppliers are just getting the next shipment in of them now, so keep your eyes open, and you can find some Hornady 6.5 CM. I just got in 5K of them.

.308 makes some nice 7mm08 brass. I just it it twice on the press.

Unless you have the dies needed and any other equipment it might be best just to buy new brass.
