what would be a good substitute? if any? seems every one is out of A-2200

You did not mention what caliber but powders that are close to it are the new LT30 and LT32 also from Accurate Powders and I have seen both at Cabelas recently. Alliant 1200R should also be in that range if you want a Ball type powder.

found A-2200 n 8-lb, can't use that much, found reload info using other powders, now just to work up loads.

Don't know what you've been using the 2200 in, but LT-32 is incredible in .222 Remington. cabelas has the LT32 & LT30, the 30 was $55. lb, so I got the 32. working up loads for the 25-45 sharps
