what would be a good substitute? if any? seems every one is out of A-2200

You did not mention what caliber but powders that are close to it are the new LT30 and LT32 also from Accurate Powders and I have seen both at Cabelas recently. Alliant 1200R should also be in that range if you want a Ball type powder.

found A-2200 n 8-lb, can't use that much, found reload info using other powders, now just to work up loads.

Check out Accurate burn rate chart and fine something in the same burn rate area. R7, 4198 and H322 look to be very close.

LT-32 is magic. Don't know what you've been using the 2200 in, but LT-32 is incredible in .222 Remington.

cabelas has the LT32 & LT30, the 30 was $55. lb, so I got the 32. working up loads for the 25-45 sharps
