A friend gave me 200 pieces of mixed military 30-06 brass. Anything I should be wary of when reloading it? I know some brands are better than others, just wondered how the military stuff ranked in the list.

Military is usually thicker thus having less internal case capacity so max loads should be approached with caution.

^^^ This. If you are loading it for hunting, it will be ok. If you are loading it for precision, they may not be very consistent from piece to piece.

Thanks. These would be specifically for hunting. But, if the consistency is going to cause inaccuracies at 100-500 yards, they may just get turned into plinking loads.

Try them and see, or group them by head stamp.

I didn't know the military was still using 30-06.
