Could use a little help . I've been shooting the same bow for 12 years and I'm looking to upgrade but there's so many great bows out now it's not an easy choice . I've narrowed it down a bit . I do like the higher speeds of the newer bows but more importantly like a smooth draw and a solid back wall . I hunt in a tight spot so I'm looking at 30" axle bows . I'm sure you guys have had plenty of experiences good and bad with Hoyt's , Mathews , PSE , Elite, Ect .., if you care to share advice or experiences . All would be appreciated . Thanks!

My advice would be to go to a shop or shops that sell those bows you mentioned and shoot them all. Then pic the one that you like not what someone likes that they are shooting.

I too would say go to a bow shop and try and feel some. now im shooting a hoyt carbon defiant and also a mathews halon. both are fantastic. i will say that the carbon defiant is one of the best bows ive ever shot or owned. doesnt have the speed and let off of the halon but more than makes up for it in other areas. but..... the halon is an awesome bow as well.
if i was in your shoes, one of those would be my top choices

Thanks guys ! I did go to one shop that was pretty much PSE only and shot the carbon Air and 4 other model PSE's , just didn't like any of them so I'll have to find a Hoyt and Mathews dealer and try some out . Thanks again,

Try CCR, they have several different brands to look at.

You're in Fort Worth. Go to CCR. The have a lot of models you can shoot. You won't get a better selection any place else.

If smooth is what you're after I would suggest shooting the Elite Impulse 31.

I'll second the nomination of Elite. Just got an Energy 35 and love it. Solid wall, huge let off and super smooth and so easy to shoot.

I've been happy with my mission. Nothin fancy, but it works well. I had been shooting a Matthews MQ1 for the last few years, & then switched to a mission ballistic. The mission is much quieter, and is faster and has less hand shock.
