Been researching making your own bowstring - more for a past time than to save money. Anyone here done it for the more modern high speed compound bows? Any tips to share or DO NOTS? Thanks!

I've pulled the trigger - materials on their way, I made a string making/stretching jig, and I've watched about a thousand YouTube videos - so I'm gaining confidence. I'll start with my wife's lower-poundage bow then move to mine.

Finished up my first set of strings - very enjoyable. ArcheryTalk forum has a lot of info that really helped. Now to start on the set for the Halon...
