Is there a particular set of holes that yield better accuracy results on a sight? I asked my bow guy and he said it was all preference, but I'm wondering how it effects shot. Does moving the sight further from the bow provide greater accuracy? What are the pro and cons of mounting it in closer to the bow versus further away?

Further out you mount the sight the longer the sight radius is. For most a longer sight radius the more accurate they will be, but with most you are not changing the sight radius that much between the shortest and longest settings. Also I like the round part of the sight to almost fill the peep sight and the further out the sight is the smaller the peep sight can be and still get that effect.

Have seen sights mounted so far out they would not fit some cases.

Just like a firearm, a longer sight radius will generally yield more accuracy. However, like mentioned above, I have found that I can use the outer ring of the sight and line it up with the inner edge of the peep and get good results. If I were to move the sight too much forward then I wouldn't be able to do that and my accuracy would diminish.

Yeah but you're 9 foot tall... The distance from your peep to your sight is taller than my wife. Us normal sized people don't have that issue. smile

There might be some merit to this statement smile
