Really?
M = metric. 17 = 17mm/ .6693 1 = ~26 TPI Thread pitch = 1mm

I thought in metric the the 1 in M17x1 was 1mm in between threads.
Edit: ahhh, looked it up, that’s what pitch means. Distance between threads. Guess I didn’t understand the word pitch.

Buzz, my TRG 42 rifle is a M18x1 threading, which is a metric threading for an action.

Yes, REALLY, Sorry, never been to Canada or Europe, just good old American measurements for me and I was too lazy to look up conversion.
A rifle I'm looking at has these thread measurements in a 6.5 PRC, will finally drink suppressor koolade, want to make sure I can get one which will fit the rifle's metric barrel threads

Just send it to Morgan and have it threaded 5/8x24 and be done with it if you really want that rifle. Most suppressors, or the ones I've looked at come with 5/8x24 threading. You'd either need to find an obscure suppressor, buy and adapter, or get a QD type suppressor and get the QD mount in that thread pattern.

Why you would thread to metric I have no idea buzz. The suppressor does not care what action it is on and hangs off the end.

You’ve never been to Canada or Europe so then why are you buying a rifle made there for an American caliber. What Made in the USA company would use those threads on this latest caliber? Do tell
