Now here's the rest of story. He only loaded 10 rounds just to get the rifle on paper and reasonably close to zero. He picked the load more or less at random. After setting up the rifle and bore sighting, he fired one shot that was about 12 inches low left. Adjusted and fired a total of 4 more shots to get it into the orange. We kicked back and waited a few minutes for the barrel to cool, then I proceeded to shoot the 3 shot group you see at the lower portion of the bull. Now keep in mind that these were shots 6,7 and 8 from this rifle and I got a solid .5 inch group.
We had just a little bit of light left, so we backed up and rang the gong from 400 with those last 2 rounds. I was pretty darn impressed with the setup. Can't wait to try it out at longer ranges. And best of all, I'm not paying for the ammo!
