Picked up a very gently used Taurus Tracker in .357mag today. Really looking forward to getting out and shooting it. Seems like it’s one of Taurus most highly regarded revolvers. Reviews on it are great, and I picked it up for less than $400.

Anybody personally have one? I know the Taurus stigma, but the reviews on the tracker are overwhelmingly good.

I have a 4" Titanium Tracker in .45 Colt. It's been a great gun.

I have a Titanium .41 Mag, kicks like a mule but very easy to carry on your hip, compared to lugging around my .44 Redhawk you forget its even there.

Somehow, my most accurate revolver is my Taurus model 85 38 special. It's better than my Colt 1917, my Dan Wesson model 15, or my S&W model 10.

Call BS if you want, but I've shot them all plenty and always come to the same conclusion.

I agree that the Taurus Tracker line is a heck of a value for a revolver. Very nice looking gun you have there, and it should have a good trigger and smooth action.

I’m thinking about “putting lipstick on the pig” and getting wood grips for it and cerakoting it to match my Henry.

I’ve put 400 rounds through it so far. Really like it. .38 is a dream to shoot .357 isn’t too bad

If Taurus has a masterpiece, that's probably it.

I think what has caused Taurus to earn their stigma is often trying to pack too much gun into too small of a package. That is unforgiving of their loose manufacturing tolerances and cheaper materials. They didn't do that with the Tracker, at least not the 357 version. It's actually built for the ammo it shoots and seems to work just fine. I probably would't buy that gun in 44 mag. I think they were pushing their luck with that idea.
