Anyone watch the classifieds and can't believe the prices some members are asking?

I still would not pay more than 500.00 for .223 or 5.56. Even then it had better be tricked out... banana

Poor guys who are still trying to recover.

they were still over $2,000 at the Allen gun show, they were Noveske and Colbalt Kenetics. Over all, you could get a REALLY nice "franken" AR built for under $700

you can tell AR sales are slow when you see Noveske and Cobalt Kenetics "in stock"

Buddy of mine dropped $1600 on a Daniel Defense V9 about a year ago, without asking me about deals. A month ago he asked me what it was worth and I told him ~1200-1300 (at least it's never been fired) and he got butthurt about it.

I think 2 things are happening at the same time the contribute to delusional pricing. One is definitely that recently ar related stuff pricing are falling like everyone mentioned. The other is related specifically to builds. Be it cars, bikes (the pedaling kind) or guns, there is this concept that if one spends X dollars in parts that the end result should sell for that price or damn near it. That is never the case and that total value of parts is only that valuable to the person picking the parts.

Yep, you're almost better off parting it back out (except for the hassle).

Barry the Kenyan was the greatest gun salesman of all time. The market couldn't keep up and manufacturers were undoubtedly holding back inventory to help fuel demand. Hitliary would have made them worth their weight in gold. Thank God we never got to see that happen.

1200-1300 is on the extreme high end. 800-900 is more realistic.
