I'm thinking of selling my Buffalo classic 45-70 to buy something else. My problem is I can't find a price for one. I tried gun broker but the only one I could find started at $750. I know that is way too high. Does anyone have an idea on what its worth?

Did you look at completed auctions that had at least one bid recorded?

MSRP was $449
Past auctions on gunbroker are anywhere from $356- 600, A lot for ~450 that didn't sell

Most of the ones I've seen for sale, hands on have been in the $350-400 range. Earl

You should check with the H&R forum on Graybeard's Outdoors. Those guys are the experts when it comes to anything related to H&R firearms.

I sold mine several years ago and have regretted it ever since. Did not use it much, but wish I still had it.

That's why I'm not sure about selling it. I rarely shoot it but still kinda like it. They also are not being made anymore.

I agree. As soon as I read the OP I thought I would mention future regret. I don't have a 300WinMag anymore and sometimes wish I did. I miss that 30-30 too. I even regret selling off all the 308 ammo I had piled up after I got out of 308 and in 6.8mm. Now I'm in 308 again from scratch. Keep the 45-70 and save for what you desire at the moment.

I think I'll keep it and find a way to put nice tall tang sight on it.
