I'm looking at acquiring this pistol. It is blued, 4 inch, pinned and recessed, and in great shape with a pair of original combat grips. Just the pistol. No box or accoutrements. What do y'all think it's worth? Thank in advance.

S&W is making the 41mag md57 again and list for a brand new one is $1009 https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/model-57-sw-classics-6-41-magnumThe Model 57, comes with a brightly blued finish, six-inch barrel and holds six rounds of .41 Remington Magnum. This single/double action six-gun wears a pinned red ramp front sight, and adjustable white-outline notch rear-sight. The checkered walnut square butt grips are classy, with the inlaid Smith & Wesson logo. While the MSRP of $1009 is closer to what collectors pay for high-quality vintage guns in presentation cases, the new Classics can usually be had for less money on the open market, like most of Smith & Wesson’s line. The old 57 line: The Classic Model 57 The Classic Model 57 springs from Smith & Wesson’s original Model 57, introduced in 1964 which was available in three, six and eight and three eighths-inch barrels with either highly polished blue or nickel finish. Smith & Wesson also offered a more basic, fixed sight Model 58, a four-inch barreled .41 Mag, geared toward police carry. Later, in 1986, the Model 657, a stainless variant of the 58, hit the market and is still highly sought after today.

If I recall correctly, no dash 57's in excellent condition are bringing around 1200.

Right now, you can get a new one on Gunbroker for $839.95: http://www.gunbroker.com/item/640392639An all original that is pinned and recessed is collector grade, though. If it is in good shape and you can get it for less than a grand, I'd say that's probably a pretty good deal. As a side note, the .41 Mag is an awesome round that doesn't get near the respect it deserves.
