What trigger pull weight do you guys have on your AR's? I see 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0....just curious if 2.5 lbs is too light....

As long as you have enough time behind it to where you are not doubling shots or having negligent discharges should be fine.

-On my hunting AR-10, I run a 3.5 lb. (fairly light, but not too light that I have to worry about bumping the gun around in my blind or while walking through brush and timber.)
-For my long range AR-15 (24" bbl) I use 3 lb., only because I haven't found a lighter weight trigger that I think is worth the money.
-On all other AR's, if I have replaced the trigger, I have 4.5 lb.

Also, if I replace a trigger, I only buy single stage triggers, not because they are better necessarily, just because that is what I'm used to and I like to stay as consistent as possible for muscle memory.

3 lbs cmc drop in.

A real hunter never returns empty handed. Spending time in the wilderness temporarily satifies the soul, but leaves us longing for more.

Agreed. I have Geissele SSA-E triggers and one Hi-Speed DMR in my ARs. The SSA-E is 1.2 lbs on the second stage. The DMR is fully adjustable and I have the second stage around 1 lb right now.

I run the SSA-E on my LR-708 and a CMC single stage on my AR15 set at a crisp 3 lbs.

I use a Geissele SSA-E, which is 2.3lb on the first stage and 1.2lb on the second. What I like about it for hunting is that you easily pull straight thru like a single stage.

The trigger pull for the SSA-E is still 3.5 lbs total, so it's not really that low.

I think any where from 2.5 - 3.5 lbs is great for an AR-15 hunting setup.

The Jard single-stage adjustable is pretty slick. It DOES have to be fiddled with to get it right, though...I need to spend an afternoon with mine to make sure I've got it set up so it won't double.

3lb Wilson Combat singlestage in my all of my ARs, including two I hunt with, 308 and 6.8, my son's 6.8 has a 3lb Timney singlestage.

I gee up shooting 2 lb triggers on bolt actions.

Nice triggers but those double fires will surprise you. Adjust it like the instructions say and it's not hard to get it right. Then put locktite on it.

Maybe Today.

That's the plan. I think I meant to Loctite it after I installed it four or five years ago and forgot about it. I dug up the instructions the other day, but now I'll have to find them again when I'm ready to get it finished. One day I'll forget what CRS means.
