I've been doing some work with a product called Bullet Test Tube. It's a ballistic gel medium and I've tried two rounds so far: 6PPC with Hornady VMAX in 58 grains and 223 Rem with Berger 40 grainers. Shots were made from 100 yards. Lots of fun; interesting to see the results; kinda messy stuff to deal with, since the medium gets all over everything!

Yes, Chad, that's the VMAX.

Here's a couple more pics of the testing I've done. First one is the bullet fragments from the Hornady VMAX out of the 6PPC:

The next two pics are of the wound channel made by my 22 Hornet, using the same 40 grain Berger. Notice that the wound channel was longer but not nearly as large as the same bullet out of the .223. I can only guess that the Hornet, traveling much slower, didn't upset as much as the higher velocity .223. I would have expected it to be the reverse! (Shows how much I know about terminal ballistics!)
