My duck gun was starting to look pretty sad and rusty the past couple of seasons so I have been looking for my best option to clean it up. We cut a sign for Dave at Celina Gun Club, and decided to let him take it in to see what this cerakote is all about. Well, let me say that I absolutely love the finish on it! We tried to keep it relatively close to the factory colors, but I think it came out great. Get ahold of Dave if you need anything done, he was great. Before pic - I have no clue why it was in such bad shape...... After

That does look really nice and I'm a big SX-3 fan. Winchester quit making my two favorite models, the Grey Shadow which yours appears to be and the Walnut Field which I own.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

That milo field working out? As well as it could I guess, the dove just suck around here. I only go back there for the pup. I see more ducks flying the river than dove

All SX3's have the same stock dimensions except for the model I have. It has a higher comb that fits me perfectly. Actually just the 12 gauges. The 20 gauges have an even higher comb and I spent a lot of time working on the 20 gauges to get the stocks to the same dimensions as the 12's. I have two 12's and two 20's. One of the aspects of the SX3 is you can add as many spacers as you want so you can pretty much have any LOP you want. I'm very stocky and because of that need a fairly short LOP even though I'm 5'11" and have 34" arms. 14" LOP fits me best. I deliberately purchased compact SX3's and also purchased extra spacers. Those four shotguns can be adjusted from 13" to 15" LOP. If it is really cold and I'm layered or am wearing a PAST pad I go from 14" to 13.75". My daughter has the Weatherby Compact 20 gauge pictured which she uses for everything but ducks and geese. When she hunts them I adjust one of the 12 gauges down to 13" LOP.
I appreciate the offer but am not interested. Another reason I'm not interested is for whatever reason I like the looks of them better than any shotgun I've ever seen. I also got lucky. When Winchester discontinued that model they sent all of them to a dealer in Kansas who marked them down from $1100.00 to $650.00.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

What are your all's thoughts on the SXP? I was looking at both and wasn't sure how good the newer winchesters were. Gun looks good, Ramball. Ducks might even be happy to be shot by something like that.
