You serious, Clark?

It's a round developed by Savage years ago, the nomenclature meaning a .250 caliber bullet at 3000 fps. Charles Newton developed it in 1915.

It's the .250 Savage.

Hey, I thought Model 70s weren't supposed to shoot like that.

Which action style is it?

great shooting!

I've always wanted a 250-3000 in a savage 99.

I've always wanted a 250 Savage in a small, light bolt gun with a straight grip, a 2x scout scope, and maybe a 20" barrel. I'd like it to work out to 6.5-7 pounds total.

More than once I have thought about working over a Swedish Mauser, along these lines.

Maybe someday!
