I have never owned one until recently and have never shot one.

If a polymer lower was going to fail, it would be where the buffer tube screws in to the receiver so does polymer have its limitations?

I would like to do something different with it. Something outside of .223 and 7.62x39.

I would only use a polymer lower for 22lr. Heard too many horor stories of failure.

Does that one have the polymer hammer? I always figured the polymer hammer constantly striking a metal firing pin would result in a failure. Had one for a couple years with no issues yet though.

Would probably work fine as a plinker. I've never heard any horror stories, but I also dont know anyone that has one. Considering you can pick up Anderson aluminum receivers for $39 I guess I dont see the point of going plastic.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.

I think I am going to gift it to a gentleman that works for me.
