I wanted to know if there were any substantial advancements in the hydrodipping films. I was going to have my Kimber cerakoted, but before I did, I wanted to see what kind of experience others have had with the dips. The only reason I am considering the dip is because it comes in a ton more colors, and if I use Cerakote I would have to settle for a color that isn't exactly my first choice. Thanks in advance for your advice/opinions.

colors can be custom mixed and dipping is no where as durable as cerakote, I have experience with both and will not dip again. If it was only for display it might be ok but it chips too easy.

I cerakoted my semi custom Stainless Win M70 300 Win Mag before bedding it in a McMillan stock. I have zero regrets, very a durable finish.
