Seems I have a scope (Leupold Mark AR 3x9) in need of a rifle.

Thinking about an MVP. Kinda turned off by the Mossberg brand as far as rifles go but the price if right at 550 ish and doable at this time. The rifle looks good and I like the fact that it uses AR mags.

Guy at the gun shop loves them and says they shoot just as good or better than the Savage Hog hunter or Ruger Scout etc.

Anybody own one?

I don't own one, but a good friend of mine does. His is chambered in .223, and I worked up a load for it with 60 gr. V-Max and Varget.

This is five rounds at 300 yards. I was shocked, and impressed that a Mossberg was able to do this. Sub 1/2 MOA.

Have the 308, fluted barrel, 20", shoots as good as I can, looks like the Ruger Gunsite but less dollars.

I have the 556 and it groups great. My 12yo shoots a 4" steel plate at 200 yards.

Thanks.
I like everything about it except the name.
Probably pick one up Saturday.

I have a MVP scout in .308 and it is plenty accurate for a hunting rifle! I'm happy with it

Have a 5.56 in the Flex version. Likes the 55gr speers pushed by some H335. Puts them inside a dime @ 100. Not the smoothest action I've ever used but a very functional and decently built rifle.

I may be mistaken but aren't they made here in Tx down in Del Rio or thereabouts?

Pay it forward - Kids are the future.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

IF... they had the same rifle in a lefty; I would have already tried it out. As it is, it may be one of the better bargains.

I don't have the MVP, but my brother has a Mossberg 100 ATR in 270 that's a heck of a shooter. I think the rifle was $229 IIRC. Insane value.

I don't have the MVP but I do have a Patriot in 270. It handles very well and I am very impressed with the accuracy achieved with factory ammo.
