A big thumbs up to boyds stocks. Put my order in Monday afternoon for a Pro Varmint to be used on a Marlin XS7VH, it has a heavy barrel contour. I figured a week or two being a odd make of gun but I got a tracking number next morning an received the stock this afternoon. Perfect fit with barrel channel.

I agree. I ordered a custom Boyds stock for my Mini 14 and it was delivered to my door in 5 business days. Very impressive. I'm used to waiting 5-8 months for a McMillan.

Got a EMail from Boyds in the last day or so, with a $99 Sale on specified Model and Stock's...dinnit pay any particular attention to the rifles covered, but noticed that the TC Venture was offered, and available in the one stock shape in all the colors and options. Same thing in Tikka T3's too as I recall....as these are the only 2 guns I own I'd consider changing out the stock on right now. Ron

Considering a stock for a Tikka T3 in .308, and I'm looking at the Boyd's prairie hunter vs. the B&C hunter. I'd probably add a couple of upgrades to the Boyd's, so the incremental price difference to pick up the B&C would probably be about $75-85. The Boyd's looks almost too pretty to use on a hunting rifle, but all my other rifles are wood stocks, so it would be familiar. The B&C fits the bill a bit better, maybe, just costs a bit more. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
