This last Saturday I attended the Precision rifle class with Fireman JG. What a HOOT! To say I enjoyed myself is an understatement. Jason is not only a shooter, but a teacher. I'm 51 and have been hunting most of my life, but all self taught. Jason gave me some good info on the basics, it was a good refresher. He showed me some ballistic apps and how they worked, along with how his Kestral worked. Also taught me about Mils, it's a great tool, but like I told Jason, I'm now a believer but not yet a convert. Seriously, I don't see how you can shoot well consistently without this system. At least one of my hunting rifle will also wear a MilRad scope soon. Jason literally knew the ballistics of the .308 bullet I was using by heart.
Jason even helped me get my scope mounting squared away( brought a new unmounted scope for one of the rifles). After the instruction, came the fun part SHOOTING. Jason spots every shot and takes notes that he gives you at the end of the day, it's a great resource. Not only does he spot and call your wind, he teaches you how to read the wind too. In short order I was hitting targets at 800 yds with my .308, I rifle I literally never fired before today. We then moved on to my varmint AR which I've shot quite a bit. Everything out to 600 yds was cake, after that the regular reticle on my scope was a handicap for sure. Jason even let me shoot my regular hunting rifle, a .300 Win mag. Hits at 400 yds were easy.
The range isn't fancy but very functional, and that suited me fine. The shooting platform was shaded and first rate. There was no pressure of any kind and Jason gave me his undivided attention all day. He even told me we could shot til dark if I wanted.
The last endorsement I'll make is to say I drove 4 hours to get there for the class and I'd do it again without a second thought. If you think you can shoot, go spend a day with this man, he'll make you even better. If you can't, you will by the time you leave.

Thanks again for the great time and the education.

I know it, sorry, I couldn't resist. Your class is SO worth the small fee you charge. That's allot of class for the money!!!
