Started to like the look and toughness/reliability of these guns - plus they allegedly chew through ammo like the AK and mags are very cheap

What are y'all's thoughts?

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

Like the original H&Ks,they do a number on your brass. They have a fluted chamber that is made for steel cased ammo. I know a few guys that have successfully reloaded spent brass, but not many. They are a medium range weapon, so work well with iron sights and red dots. Not sure they would be worth a good scope.

I had a Springfield armory HK clone. Didn't like the stock fit to me or the odd recoil impulse. The fact that it ravaged my brass and chunked it into the next county meant it couldn't stay in my safe.

I have a PTR pistol turned SBR. It runs great with steel cases cheap ammo and is a fun gun. It doesn't come out of the safe as often due to the cost of 308 version playing with an AR.

I have one, just waiting on my form 1 to make it a G3K SBR... Mine has 12" barrel and will have a fixed stock. I like mine a lot, and the $5 mags is a huge plus! I just ordered some mil-surp ammo for mine and will try to reload the brass, if I can find it, because it does sling brass quite a ways!

The factory trigger is not great, mine broke at 12lbs with aot of take up, but what do you expect from a battle rifle. My trigger now has a 4.5lb pull and very little take up. I also replaced the standard recoil buffer with a heavy buffer and it made a noticeable difference in recoil.

As for accuracy, 1moa out to 400 yards is attainable from the longer barreled versions using federal gold medal match ammo. Mine is not a long range rifle, more of a CQB type than anything.

It eats anything I feed it including cheap cheap Chinese steel cased ammo. I think they are a great fun for the money.

That's the kind of stuff I wanna hear - so tired of having to worry about what I feed a gun - want it to function when it is supposed to function

In saying that it will be taken care of - just hate finicky guns

I think I will definately change the buffer that is a piece of info I have heard more than once as well as changing the rollers so it will function better suppressed when I want to shoot it that way

Rollers are how you adjust the head space if it's off. The lock piece is what you change if you have trouble running suppressed. They come in several different angles based on barrel length. The angle controls the lock time of the bolt
