Dick's has a few 30-06 for $369. Is that a good deal? I ain't a 06 guy but that's the first "good" deal I've ever seen there.

I use to buy a lot from Dicks because they had amazing sales. They really don't carry anything I care about anymore though

It's a fair price for a BigBox Retailer. Go look at the TCARMS.com website for the $75 Rebate form and info.
I bought a Venture 270 earlier this year right after the Rebate started on GunBroker a little cheaper than that...but there was a only couple a of us fighting over the deal. My FFL Ship To & Transfer + shipping was more than offset by the Rebate, only becuase the Auction I won had started before the Rebate was announced. Later starting Auction's had higher Reserves or Buy Now's and I didn't see any No Reserve Auctions after I got mine....and haven't looked recently.
If you are happy with an '06...go for it. If Not shop GunBroker and see what you can score in another caliber.Just remember YOU MUST HAVE the original box WITH A COMPLETE LABEL to get the Rebate.

I would suggest you buy an AR10 in 308...perhaps a CMMG...it's what you really want! 
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............
