I was about to buy a 243 barrel for my encore pistol when I noticed a 6.5 creedmore for sale and a 25/06 barrel with 15" barrels. would these be a good choice for a 15" barrel also. to many choices and not enough money.

I had a 7-08 15" that would hold 3/4" at 100 yards. I think either would be fine, but out of the pistol I'd go with the 6.5.

They will all work, Just do not expect them to be as fast as out of a rifle. expect about 300fps slower than what you would get from a 22 inch barrel. The Creedmore would be my pick of the 3 for hunting, that is if you reload.
Something else expect that short of a barrel to be LOUD. Always wear hearing protection

I can attest to the loudness...

I haven't stepped up to the Encore pistols, still use Contenders for my hand cannons. They will shoot accurately further than I am capable of with them. The Encore with more powerful offerings would just be more so for me. The only Encore pistol I have shot belonged to a friend, it was chambered in 7mm-08. He no longer owns it and was shooting the lite loads from Hornady to reduce recoil. Full loads it was a handful and noticeably louder than my 7-30 Want to see a few more cartridge options check out BullBerry, SSK and EABCO. Here is a link to Bullberry

I had a 14" 30-30 in a contender. After 3 shots on some hogs, I was nearly deaf for a week.
