As much as it pains me, I did business with Cheaper than Dirt on Monday.
This week they had a sale on all 12 ga. shotguns that included a free case (250 rds) of Rio 00 Buckshot.
I ended up with 2 Rock Island Armory M5 pump shotguns for $229 each.
Saved $226 in ammo.
Good deal I thought.

Nice, but it's Rios. Some friends and I used their bird shot before. Missed so many birds we all thought they were shotgun blanks. Switched to Remingtons and limited out.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I have never had an issue and shot rios past two dove seasons. Also I like their buckshot as well

I have hunted and shot competition with RIOs, zero issues ever. They also reload really well. Wonder if it was the Rios or the Miller Lite causing the bad shooting.
