Took a few minutes at the range today with the 6.5-284 Cooper. 4 shots 1 from 100, 2 from 325 and one from 415. This was with some Nosler 120gr BT factory loads that I thought I would try. The range from gate which is 415 yards from target

Good shooting, that 6.5 can put meat in the freezer!

Nice. How fast are those 120's moving?

Nice. How fast are those 120's moving? Dee these factory ones are supposed to be 3000fps. They are on at 100 and dialed using that velocity for the other shots

It does inspire confidence and is fun to see what you and your rifle can do. Wasn't worried at all on a 11 inch spike at less than 20 yards this afternoon. Gotta love hunting with equiptment that will go longer range then a short shot presents itself.

My blaser 6.5x284 is one of the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. My best is a 140 grain load--I shot a 1.45 inch 4 shot group at 300 yards...l love the 6.5x284.
